Ninespine Stickleback, Pungitius pungitius

 

The ninespine stickleback is found throughout the great lakes region, especially in Lake Superior and Lake Michigan, plus the interior of Canada and most of Alaska. It also occurs in scattered localities on the eastern seaboard.
