Caught this brute on a Japanese style jig. One of the few places I know of to reliably catch Bigmouth in Texas

Thanks man! I wish Bigmouth were more common in Texas but it's also kind of cool they're exclusive to just 3 river systems.

I have caught a couple bigmouth but never dreamed of catching one that size! What is your Japanese style rig?

They're vertical jigs made for saltwater, usually with one or two hooks. The Japanese even have a special rod devoted to vertical jigging!
