My first ever ukekuchi-ugui caught at a large river in Northern Japan in May 2018 on Marukyu Grassminnow. Ukekuchi-ugui, distributed only in a limited area of Northern Japan, are a fish-eater cyprinid species and grow to 80 cm. Ukekuchi means superior mouth in Japanese.
