Congratulations man. A beetle spin, huh? I gotta try those more often.

Chain Pickerel: All the bad assery of a Northern Pike wrapped up in a smaller, prettier package.

Thanks guys.

IMHO, the beetle-spin is ideal for these little esox as its shape prevents it from being inhaled too deeply like an in-line spinner, making for an easy release.

Agreed, that and the weed resistance, single hook, overhead single blade (for helicoptering and bulging) makes the beetle spin a great lure for smaller WW species.  One of the first I grab for stillwater crappies too.

By the way Eli, two more Esox to go, not one.
