I have always thought Peamouths just look like a fun fish to catch.  What kind of rig or lure did you catch them on?

They are fun to catch.  I was salmon fishing and saw them swimming right by my feet, schools of them, doing that side twist that lets off a shimmer (like carpsuckers spawning).  I am the probably the only person within a 100 miles of here that would stop catching salmon and try catch them instead.   I threw a chartreuse redworm on a size 8 octopus hook 2 foot leader and a 1 inch pencil weight to get them.  I caught 6 but I tried to get footage of them biting the worm underwater but the camera made them shy.  They are aggressive otherwise.  I thought they only spawned in the spring but it looks like they spawn in the fall as well.
