Lake trout heaven

I've been spending the last couple of weeks targeting inconnu and least ciscoes though I have not been having very much luck so yesterday I opted for a sure thing with a couple buddies out to a small northern lake on a river system north of Yellowknife. Had a great day. As I said in an earlier post, if winters here were like how they typically are in late March and April I wouldn't mind if they lasted eight months. Mild temperatures, lots of sun, and lots of lakers.

And they kept getting bigger

And bigger...

And bigger still ...

SkJustin said I would have a lot fun fishing for lakers with the flasher, and it's certainly been that. Wild how the trout switch from only minimal interest -- shadowing the lure but doing little more -- to charging from 30 feet down to smash it.
Gord's got another one on.
