<p>Hate to be a bugger again, but I noticed that the freshwater drum&#39;s range doesn&#39;t extend as far east as it should, they can be caght in John Kerr Reservoir aka Buggs Island in Virginia/North Carolina</p>

The blue catfish's range

The blue catfish's range extends much farther than is shown too, well idk about that, but the lower potomac is a great blue catfishing spot, and there's many spots in texas I heard to get them

Freshwater drum are found in
Freshwater drum are found in the Roanoke drainage in Virginia and North Carolina. I don't know if they're native or when they were introduced, but they're there, especially in Buggs Island (Kerr) Reservoir.

I think it would be a refreshing change to fish an area not over-populated with drum.  Like fishing in Florida.  That sure was nice not dealing with a bunch of pesky drum for a week or so...

Saved me many a skunk. And the size of the ones you been catchin? I'll take that kinda pesky all day long. Every day. Twice on Sundays.

Doc, there's another reason
Doc, there's another reason for a spring roadtrip for redeye bass! I've fished the Ohio, Tennessee, and Roanoke drainages for 30 years and I've never SEEN (much less caught) a drum.....
