I was packed up and ready to leave for the night. As I reached down to pick up the rod to reel it in, the line started clicking off the reel... 25x14. Not massive, but not a dink for my first. Freshwater Standard Species #50!

Flathead have a tendency to do that, just as you are getting ready to leave they bite. That is a decent size one for your first one too
