~24" Bowfin on a 3wt Fly Rod

Caught my first bowfin last Tuesday while searching for black crappie with my 7'6" Echo Base 3 wt Fly Rod.  While 24" is far from large for a bowfin, this is my lifer fish and easily the best fight I've ever had on a 3wt.  Sadly, my adrenaline was pumping so much that I cropped the head off in what would have been my best picture of this little dinosaur.
