Lower Salt river, near Phoenix AZ
Notes:
River was low and fish were schooled up in a deep pool pre-spawn. They did not want to eat any kind of bait but I noticed they were mouthing algae floating by, so I put some green slime on a hook and bingo got this beautiful fish. Note wild horses on the far riverbank visible just over the fish's head.

Ahh man, I remember fishing the Lower Salt, and seeing the wild horses and coyotes and road runners and weird little cattle, and, and, and.... Good memories....
