Cool catches man, sorry to hear about your camera. I feel your pain I usually ruin a few a year. Try throwing it in a bag of rice for a couple days, sometimes that will dry it out.

Thanks for the advise moose,

Thanks for the advise moose, the camera actually seems to have recovered and I have taken a few test photos and all is working well apart from a few scratches on the screen, pretty impressive considering it fell from my pocket onto the rocks and into the river! I had to do the rice trick with my phone after it dropped in the river (also on a microfishing trip) and I had to swim after my wallet when it fell out of my pocket (again after micros!)

Can you hold back on the sculpin for a bit, I just found that what used to be called cottus gobio is now split into about 9 diferen species, it may stll be gobio but I cant be sure yet. thanks

ARRRHHHHHHHH, This is so

ARRRHHHHHHHH, This is so confusing, apparenty thereare two species of scupin in italy, one is only found in the timavo spring, but the other species (cottus gobio) is in rivers draining into the tiber and isn't meant to be found in the reno at all.

Got it I think, cottus

Got it I think, cottus ferrugineus is said to be endemic to rivers draining into the adriatic so that must be what it is. If anyone can help me confirm this ID it would be much appreciated.
