Notes:
Pseudogobio esocinus. Caught on a chunk of earth worm by sight fishing in October 2011 using a part of my fishing pole. Although taxonomically distant, kamatsuka resembles northern hog sucker in appearance, habitat, and difficulty to catch. Is this a kind of convergent evolution?

It sure seems that way! I saw the thumbnail and had to look, because it does look very much like a northern hog sucker.
