Black or Blacktip Jumprock Closeup Photo

This is a small species of sucker found primarily in Virginia.  I've encountered some confusion as to whether its common name is actually "Black" or "Blacktip" and whether its scientific species name is "cervinum" or "cervinus".  Or if there are actually two species with nearly-identical names.  Whatever.  It's a small, speckled sucker with black-tipped fins that lives in clear, swift waters.
