 spotfin shiner (Cyprinella spiloptera)

The spotfin shiner is a common shiner minnow. In breeding color, they are quite beautiful, with a blueish-purple body and bright yellow fins. They adapt well to aquarium life. The deep black fin ray spots on the dorsal are very distinctive.
