This is a great baitfish imitation that belngs in everybody's arsenal. Start out by cutting a piece of lead tape into a football-shape about as long as the hook shank, then fold it down over the hook from the top. Cut a piece of Mylar Cord, remove the insides, and slip it over the lead tape and hook. Attatch your thread just ahead of the hook bend, throw a couple of half-hitches, and cut. Make sure to leave a bit of mylar hanging off for a tail, and tease it out. Put a drop of superglue on your thread wraps. Now start your thread toward the front of the fly, and cinch up the front of the Mylar body. For the wing, I think regular Zonker Strips are too wide, so I slice them in half. Tie in the wing, build a small head, whip-finish, and superglue or cement the head. You can also tie this fly upside-down so that it fishes hook-point up to reduce snags.
