Photos of Fall Posted on October 3, 2007
| Ah, Fall is here. There is so much to do in the Fall. There is wood to cut for the winter months, succulent grouse sitting along trails in the aspen woods, and waterfowl in all of the potholes and marshes. The timberdoodles are moving through. Deer hunting is only a couple of weeks away, and a few treestands need to be fixed. Fishing is excellent when you get a chance to go between other activities. Just last Saturday, over two hours, I landed three largemouth bass over four pounds and lost one that was bigger than any I have ever hooked......and my largest to date was a 6 1/2 pounder. Bass and Pike are up in the cooling shallows and feeding aggressively. Well, I have to check my supply of fresh brown trout spawn and look at the USGS flow data on a few Steelhead streams. A buddy needs to borrow a few broadheads, too. I need to find my wood duck call and another box of 4 shot. Maybe I can get out Sturgeon fishing on Friday..... Anyway, here's a few pics of early Fall in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Enjoy.
