Andy and I shot a pair of woodies Saturday, replenishing our stocks of their prized flank feathers for the year. Ruffed Grouse eluded us; they are the last key fly-tying ingredient needed for our winter tying. Andy also got a muskie treble hook stuck all the way to the bone into his guitar-picking finger, and ended up in the emergency room. Oh, but that was BEFORE he shot his duck. That's right, he picked off that drake with a big bandage on his hand. ROUGH.
