We went on a great weekend trip to western Minnesota. JK picked up a new species with a HUGE Silver Redhorse, around 8 pounds in weight, on the Minnesota River Saturday. Sunday near Granite Falls Andy caught a beautiful Smallmouth Buffalo while crouched on a logjam over the river. I photographed a redsided garter snake devouring a leopard frog. 7 Species: Silver Redhorse, Shorthead Redhorse, Carp, Freshwater Drum, Brown Bullhead, Channel Catfish, and Smallmouth Buffalo. Oh, also, we got stuck in a giant mudhole for an hour.
