HOOK: Standard Nymph Hook #12-18 THREAD: Black BODY: Green Sparkle Dubbing RIB: Gold French Tinsel THORAX: Gold Bead HACKLE: Ruffed Grouse HEAD: Dark Olive Sparkle Dubbing
Fished wet on a swing, this fly is extremely visible due to the gold bead placed in the center of the hook shank. Visibility often becomes a factor while targeting carp in moving water also, and for some reason this fly induces them to strike. Originally designed as a caddis emerger intended for swift-water use, this fly can cover a lot of situations ranging from pumpkinseeds in the lily pads or tulibees on the flats, as well as a deadly trout fly.
