The white catfish is actually more closely related to the bullheads than the rest of the catfish. You might say the white cat is the granddaddy of bullheads, because they grow bigger than bullheads. But they're still small fry when compared to channels, flatheads, and blues. White cats are a southern fish and us poor northerners don't know much about them. Which is probably a good thing, because if we had white cats up here, we'd probably have spent a lot more time down at the crick and never wrote this dag-burned website in the first place.
