Sister's First Carp

After striking out for 6 days in Seaside, OR area rivers, I decided to take my sister carp fishing on the last morning that we were here. I'd read online that this lake had a lot of carp, so I was hopeful. She didn't believe that carp would eat corn, which made this catch all the more awesome. We hooked it about 5 minutes before we were going to pack up. It had a LOT of energy, but she fought it in on a light rod with 6 lb test. She's always afraid that the fish are going to hurt themselves, so she holds them super close to the ground :) Great way to end a family vacation!
