Got two Beauties the other day, of which this one was the beautiest.

She gobbled up a sardine and hung heavy like on my new rod.

Bonus points for whomever gets the reference in the title...

Pike are awesome.

A gorgeous pike. Love the bronzy-ness over the back and through the dorsal. Are there tanins in the water? The hint of escoid suborbital bar is particularly attractive, as is the extra-long jaw. A fine wall-hanger for sure if you ever made a replica. Not sure what the title is supposed to mean Dutchman. Enigmatic as always.

Ah yes, the mid-nineties. Memories of riding to school in my friend’s smoke-filled Caprice Classic (’73?), Goodfellas in the CD changer… “not Cypress Hill, but still insane.” Wonder if he still has that disc? Probably worth $ now.
