Other than the insane heat it was a great trip. Didn't bring my kyogi but I should have. Had lots of shots at Spotted Gar I could have gotten on it. A gator gar on a salmon rod would be fun if you could get it hooked... The 200 yards runs to only get a maybe on the hookset though might nix that unless I could find some 2 footers
Easily #1 contender for best fish of the competition already. Probably will remain. Also, I have never seen Tony this relieved - I wonder if he uttered any choice words when the previous one came off.....
