Back in November when I pulled up a drum through the ice I thought it was extremely rare, I never expected it to happen a second time! My buddy also caught one on this day, this catch was the perfect way to end off a day full of insane walleye action.

That's pretty cool
I've caught a few drum through the ice and they are all awesome fights but super random. Would be super cool to actually get into a mess of them some time. Great catch, thanks for sharing!

Ice!?
I can't believe you guys still have ice. This year was especially terrible, but normally we're done by the beginning of March here.
Does the season normally last this long?

Yup, Ice.
Here in Manitoba the season ends April 6th, but yesterday was my last day of icefishing, I had to wade out 15 feet and climb onto the ice, I little bit crazy but it was worth it. I was fishing on a river, but on Lake Winnipeg, the ice is still 4 feet thick, weak ice, but 4 feet nonetheless.
Where abouts are you from?

Ice season
PA, Harrisburg area. Unfortunately, we're an increasing marginal area for ice. I got out once this year, upstate, and even there it was pretty spotty.
