Butcher Block Cutting Board (aka End Grain)
<p>In the process of making some butcher block cutting boards as house warming gifts for both my brother and his girlfriend, as well as my sister and her boyfriend.&nbsp; Both couples recently got new houses.&nbsp; Thought I&#39;d put up a picture of one of them in progress.&nbsp; This one still needs sides squared/trued up, then take the router to the edges and put a 1/2&quot; roundover on them, some final sanding and another coat of mineral oil.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><img alt="" src="http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w141/cmw55337/334266_10151293208233452_1701294033_o.jpg" style="width: 639px; height: 360px;" /></p>

Patchwork Butcher Block Cutting Board Complete

Here's the finished patchwork butcher block cutting board.  1/2" roundover on all 4 edges (top and bottom), with a step bead (can't really see it in the photo unfortunately) of approximately 1/32".  

 

 

 

It doesn't matter what you're fishing for, just as long as you're out there doing it.
