A fella more generous than myself revealed the name of a spectacular bluegill lake. Gotta love the simplicity and pure relaxation that is panfishing with a floating crank. Hoping to return soon and get enough material for a full report.
That's a noice titty bream!
Interesting and unusual? dark colour phase on the fish you're holding - extremely peaceful and relaxing looking spot! Congrats on a big chunk of a bluegill landed on Canada Day!
That last pic, with the gill half out of the water. Very cool.
It's always fun catching Sunfish when they get to that size.
I've caught many big ones when night fishing for catfish and I'll tell ya they can fight well sometimes!
Chain Pickerel: All the bad assery of a Northern Pike wrapped up in a smaller, prettier package.
