And so June ends

The last fish submitted is an American eel by the frontrunner Wrecked Angler.  Judging will be swift and we will have results soon.

More entries than expected, 5 life list species, first Warmouth in Wisconsin since I was a youngster, couldn't get a Common Carp though

Ending this year's contest with an eel is almost too perfect. I didn't expect the button to be that powerful.

I learned a lot. Smallmouth are super-easy to catch in my region. Suckers and redhorse can be challenging, esp. during a drought. I ended up in the lower half tier, but I met my goals (get at least 5 within a mile of my house and get 10 total) and had a ton of fun!!  It was awesome to see anglers find and catch so many amazing species.

I didn't do as well as I could have. I wasn't able to get out as much as I wanted, and I missed a bunch of easy targets. It was still a lot of fun, though.
