I'm told it's tradition for the winner to give some shout outs to their homies. I think my trips aren't usually as eventful as the standard Moose trip because I sleep in my truck, I don't take regular breaks to eat, and I avoid people like the plague, but I'll give it a shot.
Shout out to Greenwood, Alex and Maggie for literally everything. This wouldn't have happened without you. Shout out to Goldberg for keeping it interesting -- you did a hell of a job, along with the rest of the competitors. Shout out to Drew and Corey, for organizing the contest and maintaining the Roughfish community. Shout out to David (and a couple other anonymous helpers) for the massive amount of help with Florida. Shout out to random fisherman Eric for showing me how to catch a shitload of white crappie, and coming back half an hour after leaving to warn me about an impending hailstorm. Shout out to Doc for attempting to help again with the Chipola. Fuck the Chipola. Shout out to Tyler for the shad, and in turn my biggest Channel yet. Shout out to the anonymous Mayan-eating alligator and the Bluegill-eating egret for the company. Shout out to the Rio Grande ant colony -- thanks for the dance. Thanks to everyone who gave moral support and words of encouragement during the contest. It was greatly appreciated.
"Shout out to previously uneaten muffins in the desert at sunrise"
That is my favorite part. Congrats again on a wild June!
And shoutout to you my friend, what a magnificent display of angling. I very much look forward to sharing a scotch with you and getting to exchange all the great stories from a hell of a month of fishing. Fishing isn’t quite the right word for what June encompasses, words don’t do justice but at any rate that scotch is gonna taste great. Awesome work my dude.
Ya just Can't catch um from the couch.
That's right. Congrats man.
