157 Fish and 41 species on Day 1!

What a kickoff! I wasn't able to get out on day 1 (website is a harsh mistress come June) but I've been watching the fish roll in, and the volume and quality of fish is downright amazing. It's nice to see some rare and difficult targets come to the bank so early - big sturgeon, river redhorse, and smallmouth buffalo on the first day! Wow! Nice to see the newly-elevated Creek Chub getting some attention - but golden shiners have proved elusive. Bluegill is in the top spot, followed by the freshwater drum. Not unexpected. But largemouth bass and golden redhorse are tied for third - which is really cool. Only on roughfish.com could the bigmouth bass get upstaged by the golden fury. 28 out of the 70 registered users fished on Day 1! No sign of Moose and FishingDude ... which could mean they are still out fishing or beyond the reach of the internet. Only time will tell. Fish on, roughfishers!

Leaderboard?
I really enjoy this contest every year, but I'm a total 'Ferdinand' when it comes to any kinda competition, but I love to keep up with who's ahead, and all the amazing species caught - how soon can us benchwarmers view the leaderboard?

Doh!
Thanks Corey - Oldtimers dyslexia I guess - saw "kids leaderboard" and automatically looked for an "adults leaderboard"

Dorky, off topic PSA...
While on the road seeking contest species entries, please be on the lookout for, and escort across the road if you can safely do it, any wayward turtles you folks may come across. ..rescued an endangered Blandings from 60 mph traffic yesterday... @-@
