Steph WANTED to try to get some cats tonight....she has yet to catch any. So, we scored some suckers from the local bait shop, and off we went.

We got there to see that there was a tournament going on. LOTS of boats. I guess for Smallies. We were asked by someone if we wanted a Walleye.........I said..............Ah, NO. Then they asked what we were fishing for....I loved the look on their face when I said Cats. SO.........we didn't catch ANYTHING. Not even a nibble.

It was nice and breezy and beautiful so that was cool. It was so hot today doing stuff at the farm that I was totally enjoying the peace and quiet and the breeze. Finally though..........I said "Let's go". Usually I am the last to give it up........but honestly I didn't really even want to go tonight....that is alright though.

We saw TONS of bats....and lots of big bugs that looked like they could sting every time I turned up the lantern. I prefer it as low as it goes...........I am not a fan of the bugs....

Hope everyone else is catching stuff.

I feel your pain...

Me and a friend went out last night and found a spot that looked like the ideal picture of a cat and flat heaven. A channel just off the Miss that you would think they go and play. Stopped for a dozen med. suckers and nestled in for what we thought would be a very productive night.

Not even the slightest twitch of the rod. Oh wait it did once but it was the dog running by and bumping it.

Just hasn't been that great for me either. Good luck on your next trip.
