Get home from a hard days work at a 12 hour shift glass factory -- biggest one in the world almost(it's headquarted up by you guys; Cardinal), have my usual 2-3 beers. Storm hits, alright, some lighting, thunder, cool. More rain, just what we need.
Power goes out. CRAP. OK, go flip the breakers. Cool, that's fixed. NOPE. $8,000 worth of electronics not working. OK, this is a problem. Start fooling around. Eventually it ends up being a $15 power surge supply. Mind you, they're OK for spikes, but not raw lighting to your house -- that will fry everything. I got lucky, and I am awfully arrogant with thunderstorms. I almost thought it was an outlet at first until I swapped out power strips.
After figuring that out, the circuit that controls our connected garage and fridge, was not working. That was just being tempermental thankfully.
So I have an hour to relax before my usual bed time of 11ish before I have to wake up at 5pm.
I can't wait for Fall/Spring. Summer be gone!
