I have a few questions about Bullheads that someone may know they answer to.

We have noticed that when we catch them and keep them that in the morning there are Crayfish claws in the bottom of the bucket they are in, the claws are orange like you had cooked them. I assume they turn that way once they are dead.........

BUT, does anyone know if they "puke" these claws up after they digest the rest or do they actually "poop" them out?

Also, am I better off using my bullheads for bait for Channels or saving them for the Flatheads?

Bullheads will puke/eject stuff out of their mouths. It's very common after you catch them. It might me the new environment or something. I catch many out of a weed/mossy pond and those things eject TONS of moss and nastyness into my fresh tank water.

Many fish will eat smaller bullheads. Channels, walleye, and drum are caught on occasion. Honestly if it were me, I'd stick to flathead fishing with bullheads. If something else takes it, that's just a bonus.

Alot of times my bullheads will puke up the crawlers used to catch them. I have gone to dump my bait bag at the end of the night and its full of crawlers....them bullies can be kinda nasty sometimes!

COOL. I will just end up getting some suckers. I had good luck with catching Channels on them last year.

Yeah, they do puke up some nastiness.
