My gal friend, little brother, and I went after some crappies this afternoon, in the hopes of getting me a white for the contest. No such luck for me, since little bro was catching *all* the fish today. When Heather and I left at 5pm, little bro stayed behind to continue fishing, but he had half a dozen of these bad boys in the cooler already, and a fat 2+ lb white bass to boot.

I'm sure some of you can guess where we were fishing by the background of the picture.

I just caught my first black crappie(s) less than a week ago.

They were all pretty similar. The largest one measured out at nearly 16".
I spoke with him late last night after he finally got home, and the final tally was 10 crappie all between 14"-16", 2 good size white bass, and a whopper 9-lb walleye. He was pretty stoked
