A river? Come on Doc! I can't even catch a silver! How do you do it? Do you have some awesome fish Spidey Senses? Is it your circle hooks? Where do you get your worms? Do you sprinkle them with crack?
I must say, I am very impressed. If you dressed in flowing robes I think I would call you "guru" or "sensei".

lol! Very funny stuff! I actually caught a silver yesterday when my girlfriend needed one too. If ya get a chance to go, try the Rum for silvers. Its got a ton of them and they are easy to find during the dead of summer...

Congrats on your impressive victory, Doc! 42 species is simply awe inspiring - and there were so many beautiful specimens included in those catches too... I am going to spend the rest of the summer searching out new places to find a lot of the fish I should have spent time finding in June, and though it is a whole year off I am already devising ways to put away the time and money needed to make a really serious run at next June's contest. Again, my congrats and way to kick this contest's proverbial rear end!
