No Northerns 7 Months ago
|

So, I went out today with my resident Northern expert....Stephanie. We went to the KNOWN spot that rain or shine ALWAYS gives up the Northerns.....as you know........we didn't even get a bite. We were fishing on one of those floating docks and oh my........I was afraid we were going to get tossed in. It was so windy.

If you are looking for Pike, you should follow me around. I have been out targeting Bowfin a few times and have caught a ton of Pike. Some good ones, too. Apparently when rivers around here stay flooded up into the brush into June, Pike stay around in these areas. I have been wading around flooded backwaters catching carp and pike lately. No 'fins yet....~andy

Fishing, if I, a fisher, may protest
Of pleasures is the sweet'st, of sports the best,
Of excercises the most excellent,
Of recreations the most innocent.
But now the sport is marred, and wot ye why?
Fishes decrease, and fishers multiply.
~Reverend Sir Thomas Bastard, 1498
