Boated 3 flatties last night and 1 channel from the MN River. Bullheads were the bait of choice. Found a nice shallow shelf (3-8') out of the main current.

Damn! Fatties!

Yup Yup, they are finally biting. Nice Flatties! I got one today on the St. Croix on a nightcrawler. Second one of the year...

They are turning on. I've caught my share of fiddlers lately. Tonight changed that -- a beefy 22" that weighed in at 4 1/2 lbs was the highlight of my 1 hour worth of bankfishing tonight at a public boat landing. All Channels on crawlers thus far.

Man those are some real nice fish! I'm so jealous. I got skunked 2 nights in a row this weekend. I have'nt felt that bad since MSU lost to UT in that No#1 basketball showdown this year. Way to go! thats a real accomplishment.

I've gotten one 2 pounder so far this year. Had a good run last night, and didn't get a solid hookset. He was on for about 3 seconds... just long enough to feel that it was a good one. I saw a 6 pounder caught, just before I got my run, at about 10:00.

The water temp's up a bit, which is good. The weather's been wierd lately, but they gotta eat sometime. I got a bucket full o' bullheads that are going absolutely nuts right now, so I'm gonna get my butt down to the fishing hole.
