My contest got off to a decent start to day with eight down, nothing very interesting just the regular members of the royal ninja sunfish guard. All and all a nice day saw two big Black Snakes, a Mink, and a big Fox.

I missed my kick off event with Meadeo and Quattro in southern VA due to car trouble. Spoke to them about an hour ago a Meadeo hooked and lost a longnose gar that Quattro said was all full four feet long. He got a good view as it went fully air born in front of their kayaks before it laded on the 6-pound test line and disappeared into the night.

15 runs and 5 hooked gar and still no picture =(

Gar is my nemesis fish species.
