I'll be there for sure. While the sucker fishing has slowed a bit in the last two weeks, the carp are going strong. I got 5 or 6 in a short time fishing on the surface with bread this morning. Also got bass, crappie, drum, ccat. All from one spot. A few Bigmouths are mixed in with the carp in the flooded shallows, as well as a few Bowfin.
A reminder to folks who are coming.......there is a stocked trout pond in the park, and guys have been getting Rainbows. Morning is best for tossing small lures and flies, and after that you could either fish waxworms below a slip-float or fish floating trout dough or marshmallows on the bottom. Also lots of white crappies in the trout pond.
