This past weekend we spent down on the tidal brackish rappohanock river fishing, drinking having a good time. We spent some of the time clamming with our feet during low tide in the marsh. The clams fro this area are hard shelled clams that resemble standard little neck clams but have some distinct differences.

They have a dark gray coating on there shell and the two back sides of the shell extend further then the typical hardshell clam. I would really like to see what type of clams these are.
