Hi my name is Chris.

I live in Virginia, and used to reside in the twin city's for a time. I have been a member of the forums for some time now lurking and posting regularly.

I fished the 2006 and 2007 Species contests. I have made some really good friends through this website and have learned more about fish then i would like to admit.

I even had the opportunity a few years back to fish the coon rapid dam with Corey and Andy 2 days in a row. Good times.

I am looking forward to a highly competitive and fun contest this year.

I am hoping for a little Va VS Mn action this time around and we shall see. I know both Qauttro and Matthew are excited as well.

Roanoke Bass (Amended) 6 Months ago  


Caught on a 3" spinner bait fished along the rocky shoreline of the Nottiway river.

Northern Rock Bass

Note: After Matthew had a long conversation today with a fisheries biologist, i found out this fish although it looks very much like a northern rock bass is in fact a Roanoke Bass. That section of the Nottiway river only has a population of Roanoke bass.

Had a perfect specimen and my camera died, drove got battery and returned to catch his little brother. Not nearly as good color wise but i am fairly sure it's a white.

Yellow Bullhead caught on beef liver.

Note: Chin Whiskers are white. At first i thought this was a brown bullhead but i am fairly sure it's a yellow after further study.
