Roundup 2008 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Seems like the mega-thread on the roundup is hosing up the server.

I locked the thread and we can continue discussion here.

I still have space in my Van and room for 2 in my tent camper if anybody is interested. I planning to drive down after work on Thursday, but could change to Friday morning.

I have reserved the site across the road from the tenters sites.

PM me if you are interested.

Corey -

Any idea roughly what time you'll wrap up the float? I won't be able to join you at noon (I'm going to be up all night on the MN River on Thursday, so some morning recovery time Friday, before hitting it again Friday night, all day and night Saturday)

I'm going to show up Friday evening - I'm guessing around 5 or so. If you guys are still out I may have to hang out and fish a few hog suckers until everyone makes it in.

Looking forward to seeing everyone. Looks like a fairly dry week except for tomorrow and reasonable temps.

Should be good. Looks like cloudy weather for Saturday - can only help fishing. Friday looks great! You'll have mid-40s at night. See you Friday evening.

Anyone know what the water level is like down there? Is it running high and fast?

Its not too high or too fast, its around normal for this time of the year.

It would be sweet if it would clear a bit.

Ah ok. Good.
Was concerned after I was fishing the Cannon this weekend. (no luck, still..) The Cannon was ripping along about 1.5'-2' above where I normally see it, with a rather strong current.

Looks like the roundup will be where I get my first fish since last October!

Count on 3 for the Roundup, the boys and I will be arriving Friday (probably after 5) staying one night and leaving late Saturday.

I picked about 15 dozen crawlers in last night's rainstorm.

I plan on bringing them with me this weekend.

Bring a container and don't buy any crawlers if you haven't yet.

My guess is that we will get out of the Camp at about 1ish - earlier if we are prepared and on the water by 2.30-3. The float could take four hours riding or less going straight through.

My guess is that I will not return to camp until around dark, but I'll be packing sandwhiches in my bag for the float.

http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/licenses/fishing/index.html?type=fishing

Or there is a Gas Station in Lanesboro that sells licenses which is only about an 8 mile drive form Eagle Cliff.
