Thanks to the crew - Corey for taking battle wounds in helping me land the gar, Andy for taking great photos, and Chris for bringing the bait that brought them in. I was the only one fishing with a bobber, under which a large sucker was the bait taken. I'm not sure if it was the stiff tackle I used, but I managed to hook this in the snout, rather than the mouth. By the grace of God, I suspect.
Andy and Chris, a special thanks for being thirsty. We polished off the Schmidt's 30 pack in good form. Is there a better kind of fishing that landing big gar under a full moon?

Being a flathead fisherman a large sucker in my eyes is 12"+. Any estimate on your sucker size?
Nice work guys, on the fish and the box of Schmidts!

I'd say at least 6". I didn't throw a tape on the bait.
