A very, very, tough decision, and I REALLY want to do ties and triple-ties but I'm sure that would just end up meaning none of them count, so here it goes:
Best Fish: Jknuth's Peacock Bass. It was a grand adventure and the most beautiful fish I think I've ever seen.
Best Photo: Hengelaar's Buffalo. The Buffalo is a sort of roughfishing mascot, the photo is gorgeous and heroic, and Hengelaar's journey to catch all his fish sums up what it means to be a roughfisher in my opinion.
GRATS TO ALL!!! I'm very glad I joined the contest this year and one of the funnest parts of June was during the BOWNANZA, on the Cannon River bridge with a big group of us fishing together and helping each other gather our contest species and having a great time. :)

I have had such hard time deciding!
Best Fish: Garmaster Bob's Quillback. He got blanked, so went back, researched and asked questions, then tried again and conquered! Hard earned lifelister!
Best Photo - Hengelaar's Bowfin. Just a beauty pic. Highlights the fish but hints at the story of catching it.

OK - never an easy task, but here goes.
Best Fish: Mike B's Inconnu 250 mile boat ride across a mini-freshwater ocean. Crazy adventure.
Best Photo: Hengelaar's bigmouth buff. The mood, the moment, the fish, the angler, all captured.

If you mean who won the Species Contest, it was the great AvidFly.
If you mean who won Best Photo and Best Fish....
Been wondering about that meself.
I think those results are still pending...
It didn't say on which friday the voting would end...
EDIT: Am I right that you didn't vote yet, Lady Reekfish? If so, I'd bet you still could. And let me just take this opportunity to say again what a great pleasure it was to meet you! And how I marveled at how you managed to maintian your elegance whilst ankle-deep in the muck of some Mississippi backwater. And I love Zelda games!!!!

I can't remember whether I voted or not. I have not been doing much internetting lately as you can probably tell by my huge lag in response to your post! But gosh, what a nice post- you made my day! It was brilliant to meet you as well and your stroopwafelen are the bomb. And you obviously have great taste in video games. Are you planning to come back to the States anytime soon?

Man i don't think i voted yet either i think i was gone for a few months this summer in mid contest otherwise i coulda taken the fly oooooohhh challenge. ; )

And love the docs short only cause those were making the day after crapin out everywere but the orange spot did it for me in the mix with the array of the flowers! Only better orange spot pic i know is on averys lifelist but she is my baby: ) . Great pics all
