Urban Roundup??? 1 Year, 7 Months ago
|
|
|
I was looking around the site, haven't been here for a long time, and saw Corey with a carp that I'm pretty sure was caught during the urban roundup a few years back.
We should do that again, perhaps pick a different stream to fish, and document it. I think we could get it published in Midwest Flyfishing magazine. I discussed such a thing with the publisher this winter but have been too busy to do it. Pick a stream that is not a secret hot spot, like the stretch of minnehaha below the falls.
I forgot about that pond, gonna hit it this weekend for sure.

Howdy Cowpokes,
I'm not sure how I missed this post for a few days, but I'm always up for some urban carp-stalking. I was by the pond in question a few weeks back and saw (but failed to catch) some nice fish cruising around near the road / office buildings.

urban roundup sounds like a anti-crime campaign for law enforcement, but it sounds like fun and a great way to learn about metro area lakes/river spots.

I can also scoot by some spots round here and see what's up. afetr your initial post I checked one spot that now holds zero carp, as in zero. plan b
