A couple of guys brought in an 11.4 pound bowfin to the DNR today - should be a new state record if they get it certified properly. Pretty amazing fish to see; came from the St. Croix.

Nice, I figured that one would only last so long. Believe it or not my friend has a relative who caught a 17 lb. bowfin a few years ago, not far from the Twin Cities, guess it ended up in the garden. Sad huh?
