Passing on the Tradition 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago
My 3-year-old daughter is a girly girl. She likes to wear dresses and watch princess movies. But tonight I found more appropriate clothes for her and told her I was taking her fishing.

As we arrived to our local river, she loved the idea of picking out a crawler for me. I soon realized she wasn't as prissy as it first appeared. She began chasing frogs in the grass, picking up rocks along the bank, playing with the fish we caught, and just having fun in the outdoors.

I noticed that my little princess began to look more like a Rough Fisher with dirt on her clothes, shoes, and face. The most important thing to me though was that smile on her little face.

Mom will just have to deal with the bath when we get home.

Nice! Even got her holding the fish already. Maybe over the next few years, she will be holding 50 lb Mekong Cats.

That is the way to do it! The only thing I noticed was that she was still smiling while holding that dirty bottom feeder. You have to teach your kids to throw them on the bank!

That is so awesome. I remember when I first was taking Stephy fishing...........even though it was just off a dock at a lake..........it was really great. BUT, to get your daughter out ROUGHFISHING.......that is priceless!

PLUS!!!!!!!!! remember that Ms Doc has those pink gloves so you could really princess up the fishing outfit if you needed too!
