GOBBLE GOBBLE 5 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Well i took my 2nd turkey in a row with a bow. I have been chasing them with a bow for the last 3 years with my bow because I don't like to hunt with a gun anymore and I was lucky enough to have been able to see hundreds of birds in those 3 years of bow hunting the gobblers. This year I took my first Jake after a tough 5 days with birds just out of my range.

26 yards one shot and a video to prove it!

Great Job! Nice bird to boot!
My brother got his turkey this week on a bow as well. Although, as he tells it, it took 9 shots, LOL. Fortunately the wind was making so much noise in the trees, the turkey didn't hear the bow twang.

Turkey are not all that smart!

THey are flighty but I shot my turkey and the rest then came closer to me to beat up the Jake. With a bow you can shoot and you can have another person shoot and still not spook them after killing a bird or 2.

Very nice! I've been telling myself that I'm gonna get after the gobblers one of these seasons, but I always get busy with work in the fall, fishing in the spring... So much to do, so little time.

How do you like that Double Bull? Do you think you could draw a recurve or a short flatbow inside it?

I love the Double Bull! IT is a spendy thing to have though....my buddy has 2 and lets me borrow his extra for turkey season.

Next year I am planning to take one with my longbow and there is plenty of room. I have also been in there with 2 of us with both bows in full draw. They are room and fast to set up.
