First Carp! 4 Months ago

This week's been quite carpy. Before seeing the mass writings today (posted in the general discussion forum), yesterday I hooked and landed my first carp -- 22". Caught it on a single piece of corn that had drifted under the dock I was fishing from.
Quite the fight! I need to go after some of the larger, 4'+ carp in the lake, too. I have a photo on my camera phone and will upload it when I get it off my camera.
Hopefully, tomorrow, after my second day of hookie, I'll have more fishing reports. I used my kayaking time today to scout fishing spots for tomorrow.

Always a great moment to get the first specimen of a new and sought after species!!
Shame it can only happen once per species. But then of course there is the first 20 pounder, the first 30 pounder and so on...
Good stuff!
One thing about Angling, you're never finished!
