Rough Fish Head "up north" and find pan fish 3 Months, 1 Week ago  
The roughfishopen crew took a break from rivers and backwaters long enough to head up north of Park Rapids to "the cabin"!

Every single morning involved getting up before dawn to hit the water and every evening involved fishing until well after dark.

Along the way, we found some fun fish. Here are some of the pan fish we found - along with a few other shots.

Rough Fish Head "up north" and find pan fish 3 Months, 1 Week ago  
The lake we were fishing had a lot of these hybrid sunfish - looks to me like a green/bluegill cross of some kind. But they were absolutely dominant.

We hit larger ones on 1/4 oz. jigs in 15 to 20 ft of water.

It's off the lake and back to the Mississippi this weekend. The sturgeon are heating up as we move toward fall. Here's another LM

Nice job and nice fish. Where is your cabin at? We also have a cabin that is "north of Park Rapids". I am just outside of Lake George on the Schoolcraft river.

Great fishing! Lunker panfish are great.

I agree on the Bluegill/Green hybrids.
