Well, Ruffie is still in one piece and has seen some cool territory. I have him in a plastic bag to protect him from the crawler crud and fish guts.
Fishing has been real good here. The weather has been rather cold for the area. Yesterdays and todays highs are in the mid 50's. I know, its sucks worse back home, but when you think of Florida you think of warmer temps. Tomorrow supposed to be 70, so we'll keep our fingers crossed.
I have no camera link cable with for pics, so I will post them at the end of the trip when we get home. So far I have gotten Redbrest Sunfish, Redfin Pickerel, and Skipjack Herring (Or Alabama Shad) for the freshwater lifelist. Also catching tons of Longear Sunfish, Spotted Bass, Chain Pickerel, Warmouth and Redear Sunfish. Lake fishing here sucks in the fall. All my catches are coming from spring fed creeks where the water stays somewhat the same temp year-round.
Ocean fishing is excellent too. I have added many species to my ocean lifelist. I got my first Redfish off the dock the other day that went about 10 lbs. Also have caught Hardhead cats, pufferfish, spottail pinfish, Gag Grouper, Sea Bass, Lizardfish, Silver Seatrout....ect.
I will have a full trip report for you when we get home with many pics and more details.....

WOA cool.
Ill need tips on the redbreast sunnies as well as the Redfin pickerel and the chain pickerel.
We are headed down in june for a week.
mainly in the Keys and sarasota area, but we can stop anywhere.

Hey, if you head to Sarasota, let me know - I've fished the bay a lot, I have detailed charts and can point you at Cobia, Blacktip Sharks, and Snook, and a great place to rent a flats boat cheaply.

Yea I will be in the Sarasota area actually Sun city for a few of the days. then the keys the rest of the time.
with a stop in the glades for all the fun exotics.
Perhaps I can take roughie with and get a shot of him riding a lemon shark :D
I would love the assistance actually. I have yet to get a blacktip, had a few on but always lost them.
The plan is now to bring our boat down, as long as its in shallow water I will be comfortable in it. plus it has a nice casting deck.
OHHHHHH I cant wait, I hope it all falls into place and we can actually go this year. We had to cancel last years trip.
